Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen presented The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Scholarship to six recipients, Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship (Engineering) – Defence and Security to five recipients, SAF Merit Scholarship to 22 recipients, SAF Engineering Scholarship to five recipients, Defence Merit Scholarship to 17 recipients, SAF Medicine Scholarship to eight recipients, and Defence Science and Technology (DSTA) Scholarship to 34 recipients at a scholarship awards ceremony held at the Istana.

The awards ceremony saw the presentation of 95 scholarships this year – The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Scholarship to 7 recipients, Public Service Commission (PSC) Scholarship (Engineering) – Defence and Security to 5 recipients, SAF Merit Scholarship to 17 recipients, SAF Engineering Scholarship to 5 recipients, Defence Merit Scholarship to 18 recipients, SAF Medicine Scholarship to 7 recipients, and Defence Science and Technology (DSTA) Scholarship to 36 recipients.

With strong support from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health in Singapore, as well as its parent universities, Duke-NUS Medical School remains steadfast in furthering the pursuit of its vision of transforming medicine and improving lives

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen emphasised that the people of Singapore’s defence community play the most vital role in securing and safeguarding Singapore’s sovereignty.
